Movie connoisseurs and couch potatoes may not always be the best of the best in terms of technologies but rest assured, they'd be happy to read on and see what Apple has for their hungry eyes to feast on. If you're a movie buff and you still don't have a new iPad, I'm not going to force you to sell your old iPad for cash (since iPad 2 can still cut it in terms of graphics). But with movies like these, a Retina Display will not only look good, it'll feel good for your video addiction. Check the list below from the tech giant's movie charts and pop the popcorn into the microwave for a night of lovemaking with your iPad.
Gunning the Laughs With "Goon"
What we love most about Seann William Scott is that he never fails to make you laugh while making your heart skip a beat with his loving yet anatomically comic characters. We know you know him not for his playing Billy Hitchcock in "Final Destination" or voicing the quirky opossum, Crash in "Ice Age: The Meltdown." You know him for being Stifler, the dimwit, somewhat nasty guy from the American Pie movies. He's like the only guy who's had the chance to be awarded the best Sleazebag dozens of times that you just couldn't picture him without his dirty antics. But more than just tickling your funny bone, he's also known for his soft-to-the core character like Doug Glatt who dreams of getting a better job and a respectable life (yeah, sounds like Steve Stifler only tamer). His 2011 movie, "Goon" is now the 10th most downloaded movie in the App Store and it even got an 82 percent approval from Rotten Tomato reviewers! You wouldn't want to watch Stifler on Ice Age on an old iPad would you? Sell your iPad and get cash that's enough to buy a new one and "Goon" on the iTunes list!
Veiling the Tears With "The Vow"
For couch potato chicks who dig true to life love stories, here's one romance flick that will sweep you into a torrent of blubbered crying and a lot more. "The Vow" is actually a book written by real life husband and wife Krickitt and Kim Carpenter which details their life and marriage before and after an accident that changed both their lives. The movie was based on the biography-like book which was all about a husband (played by "Dear John" star, Channing Tatum) trying to win back his amnesia-stricken wife (played by "The Notebook" actress, Rachel McAdams). And while romance movie's debut day was a gallant one, critics and movie cognoscente think that there's nothing much about "The Vow" that's worth giving it a five star review. In fact, people from Rotten Tomato skimped on rating it high and gave it 29 percent highlighting the fact that the movie is perfect for date night because it is very formulaic (meaning it sticks to the formula every romance flick follows) but does not offer anything else other than a cute love story. Still, "The Vow" has been downloaded so many times that it ranked 9th in the top 100 list in iTunes! If the company that has been selling an iPad like hotcakes think it's a Top 10 Movie, it's probably worth a try!
"Good Business Is Our Bread and Butter."
